I’d like you to apply the concepts of Locus of Control to your project goal attached. (Smart goal doc)
1. One source of external control is Powerful Others. Describe the people in your life who have an influence over your ability to reach your goal. (Family) Is there influence positive or negative (or some of each)? How strong is their influence over your ability to reach your goal?
2. A second source of external control is Chance or Fate. Some might also consider this to be a Higher Power, such as God. To what degree do you think Chance/Fate/Higher Power has an influence over your ability to reach your goal?
3. The Internal component of LOC refers to how much control or influence you believe you have over your life. Discuss your perception of the amount of control you believe you have over your ability to reach your goal. What factors do you have the most control over? What could you do to increase the amount of control you feel you have over reaching your goal?
